Angry Birds Vegas Invasion - A Sneak Peek of The New 2024 Vegas Attraction

K

Greetings, fellow thrill-seekers and bird enthusiasts! Prepare to have your feathers ruffled with excitement as we dive into an exclusive review of the most exhilarating attraction to hit Las Vegas: the Angry Birds Live Experience!

Disclaimer - A Birthday Prank

This article was published on my birthday as a bit of a prank, although I have fond memories of Angry Birds, I don't think that the idea of being launched into the Las Vegas Strip is a good idea for anyone who wants to celebrate their next birthday.

Nestled at the end of the iconic Las Vegas Strip, near the majestic MGM Grand, this larger-than-life attraction promises an unforgettable adventure for visitors of all ages. As a dedicated bird lover, I couldn't resist the opportunity to experience this unique attraction firsthand on my birthday.

Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the sight of a colossal slingshot towering above the Las Vegas skyline. Off to the left of the slingshot sat a high-score board that updated in real time and a display listing all resorts and point values. The attention to detail was astounding, with vibrant colors and intricate designs reminiscent of the beloved Angry Birds game that I used to play on my Kindle Fire during my lunch breaks at work. It was clear that no expense was spared in bringing this attraction to life.

After purchasing my ticket, I eagerly made my way to the launch area. The anticipation was palpable as I watched other brave souls being strapped into specially designed bird plushies, collectively known as Bird Pods.  Riders were able to select from several of the iconic Angry Bird Plushies that were featured in the beloved video games.  These plushies were not only adorable but also equipped with state-of-the-art safety features to ensure a smooth and secure flight.

As my turn approached, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Would I soar through the air like a true Angry Bird or crash and burn like a failed piggy fortress? There was only one way to find out but one thing was for sure, I was definitely aiming for the Bellegio... hoping I would get a glimpse of the rooms that a corrupt North Miami Beach commissioner spent $4,800 of our taxpayer funds at

With a gentle countdown, the slingshot released, propelling me into the sky with an exhilarating force. The rush of wind against my face and the breathtaking view of the Las Vegas Strip below left me in awe. It was a truly immersive experience, as if I had been transported into the digital world of Angry Birds.

The objective of the ride was simple yet thrilling: aim for designated targets located on the roofs of popular hotels along the Strip. Each successful hit earned points, adding an element of competition and challenge to the experience. It was like a real-life Angry Birds game, but with a twist!

One of the highlights of the Angry Birds Live Experience was the attention to detail in replicating the iconic structures from the game. From towering piggy fortresses to precarious wooden structures, every target was meticulously crafted to resemble its digital counterpart. It was a delight to witness these structures crumble upon impact, just like in the game.

Safety was a top priority throughout the attraction. Trained staff members closely monitored each launch, ensuring that riders were securely fastened and adhering to all safety protocols. The plushy design of the bird vehicles provided a comfortable and secure ride, minimizing any potential risks to the iconic structures that line the Las Vegas strip while only allowing minimal damage to the riders.

As I landed safely back on solid ground, the adrenaline still pumping through my veins, I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible experience I had just encountered. I was very impressed by how fast the staff members recovered my pod and they were even ready to administer first aid. The Angry Birds Live Experience had exceeded all my expectations, delivering a thrilling adventure that combined the joy of the game with the excitement of a real-life attraction.

This attraction is scheduled to open to the public on April First of 2024. There is a bit of controversy around this new attraction, as some are seeing it as an exciting thrill ride, while others are seeing it as an inexpensive way to demolish the temporary structures that were put in place to support the Formula 1 Races that are taking place at the tail end of 2023.
