I would much rather Motorola did this, like a successor to the Moto Atrix Work and Play kit.Keith I Myers – 2017-04-29 22:41:03-0400+Carl Draper – Actually I would really like to see Google do something like this in AOSP – this would make it an open standard. Currently you need a $150 dock (that is almost impossible to find right now) to use the tool. I would love to see an option that uses a Google Cast or standard USB-C to HDMI adaptor. At first, it was really bad, laggy, full of bugs and had compatability problems with many motherboards, GPUs and wireless chipsets. But once they joined forces with the people at “Android X86” Project, all these problems have been fixed.Keith I Myers – 2017-04-30 00:18:41-0400+Taher Assaid many issues still remain. I backed RemixOS in the Kickstarter and currently own some of their hardware. On Remix, the Play Store is a mess (forget the fact that it needs to be sideloaded). DeX simply just works.

The other fun thing about DeX is that it runs off my phone. I have all the data and applications I need on a daily basis already on my phone.
