Keith I Myers – 2016-08-31 11:35:33-0400 – Updated: 2016-08-31 11:35:33-0400Heads Up +Alex Minnucci (and anyone else into 3D printing) – I picked up a roll of this cheap filament a few days ago and did a test print last night – it came out A LOT better than I expected for $10.00 rolls. The raft came off nicely and the layer adhesion was great. It was so great that I actually ordered 10 rolls today (Total $99.99 + free prime shipping)
I have only tested the PLA so far but the ABS rolls are a bit less expensive. These are 1 KG rolls as well.

Crazy price !!!Keith I Myers – 2016-08-31 18:32:27-0400+David Wille not sure, I was skeptical when I got my first roll as a test but was blown away with the result. It is not the best I have used but more than good enough for most of the things I normally printKeith I Myers – 2016-08-31 18:43:03-0400BTW +David Wille – What printer are you currently sporting?Alex Minnucci – 2016-08-31 20:15:07-0400That’s so cheap! Unfortunately for me, they don’t ship to Australia #firstworldproblemsKeith I Myers – 2016-08-31 20:27:28-0400+Alex Minnucci damn, I know these things are more expensive down there, worth a tryAlex Minnucci – 2016-08-31 20:49:39-0400Yeah, it’s an expensive country to live in. Thanks though 👍 David Wille – 2016-09-01 01:58:26-0400That’s really great though +Keith I Myers. For its price you really can’t go wrong, and it sounds like it was well worth it! I’m definitely going to pick some up. Thanks for the post!!
Currently, I have been and am still working with a Printrbot Simple. Its been such a reliable work horse for me, for about 2 years now. I’m in love with the thing as I’ve only ever had to make a few adjustments/tighten up some things here and there so far. Its really blown me away and I can’t say enough good things about Printrbot.
I do have another larger printer that I use for bigger/taller stuff, an Overlord Dream Maker. Overlord was a start-up in the initial boom that did a Kickstarter to get going to make their first and only printer, the Dream Maker. They sadly have not moved forward in any direction since then. A real bummer as the printer is really nice. It took them about 6 months longer then their mark to actually get the printers out, which with all the set backs is probably what did them in. :-/
How about you though man? I really enjoyed seeing those awesome wooden 8-bit coasters you posted before!
Keith I Myers – 2016-09-01 10:40:07-0400+David Wille my current printer is the Robo3D R1 Plus – it is a great general printer that can handle just about everything. I am working on a project and if it pans out, I may be in the market for a second printer
