Keith I Myers – 2016-05-02 11:26:36-0400+Michael Schmidt – I believe so however you can search on your country specific Amazon site to see if they are running a similar offer. Michael Schmidt – 2016-05-02 11:27:41-0400I’ve never been able to get a kindle fire via the Canadian site, on sale or not. They don’t seem to want us to have them.Keith I Myers – 2016-05-02 11:29:08-0400+Michael Schmidt – That is unfortunate, these are actually really nice tablets – I got a few of these for my nephews and they love them. Michael Schmidt – 2016-05-02 11:30:10-0400I wanted to get one for my son who broke his old tablet months ago. No luck, I guess.
Keith I Myers – 2016-05-02 11:38:20-0400+Michael Schmidt – I just looked on Amazon.ca and you are correct – They only have 2 Kindle Fire tablets and both are overpriced compared to the US options. This is really disappointing.
I also checked other Canadian Retailers that carry the Kindle Fire in the US (BestBuy.ca, Walmart.ca, etc) and was also left with nothing.
I really wonder why Amazon is going the extra mile to keep these off of Canadian Shelves. It makes no sense as there are no language differences between the US (with the exception of those who speak French) and you guys use the same power outlets that are used in the US. Robert Hamilton – 2016-05-02 15:13:28-0400+Keith I Myers We’re not worthy 🙁Michael Schmidt – 2016-05-02 16:30:52-0400+Keith I Myers the only thing I can think might be copyright content from the Amazon store? ie. Books and music? Perhaps those rights are different for tablets. It took a long time for us to get Google books and Google music as well.Keith I Myers – 2016-05-02 16:31:57-0400+Michael Schmidt – If that were the case, they could just limit the content via the account you are logged into.
+Robert Hamilton – You know what you didRobert Hamilton – 2016-05-02 16:47:46-0400+Keith I Myers It’s an ongoing thing for Canadians. Some US companies say they won’t ship “over seas”. Don’t ask them what Sea separates the US from Canada because that makes them angry. I bought a US condo just so I could buy a Kindle. True story! Since then it’s come in handy for Google Glass, the Amazon Echo and a pile of stuff. Plus you can’t beat Arizona weather in the winter.
