I know there is a 25 GB soft cap on the Simple Choice Unlimited LTE Plan that causes your data to be de-prioritized. I am fine with that but I do have a question about it – Does the total data utilization quota include all data or does it exclude data accumulated via Music Freedom or BingeOn?
For example : My phone shows on its internal data use screen that I used 24.5 GB of Data this month but on the T-Mobile My Account screen, it shows I only used 5.4 GB. Will I be subject to de-prioritization?
I ask this as I am traveling this weekend and will likely need to tap into my tethering data to get some work done.Shared with: Public, Keith I Myers, T-Mobile+1’d by: Pkmmte XeleonKeith I Myers – 2016-04-22 10:35:11-0400Not sure why this did not tag +T-Mobile the first time so addingT-Mobile – 2016-04-22 10:48:07-0400Hey +Keith I Myers! Thanks again!Keith I Myers – 2016-04-22 11:04:13-0400Edit : I contacted T-Mobile and they report that BingeOn is excluded – So the de-prioritization does not take effect until it shows that I used 25 GB of High Speed Data in T-Mobile’s MyAccount App. Joseph Hindy – 2016-04-22 11:28:46-0400+Keith I Myers that is extremely helpful. I called and asked them if I can use the continent wide free roaming, calling and data for the whole 6 months. The CSR said “sure!”. I kinda think that’s a violation of the TOS but if they give me trouble I’ll just pick up a SIM card up in Canada and cancel Tmo. If they allow it, I’ll be happy to have just one phone provider year round. Either way, nice to find a continent wide provider with generous data and low rates.
