Granted QuickCharge 3.0 is slightly faster, I would rather be standards compliant. Originally shared by Ben SchoonWorst part of all this, the G5 doesn’t support the spec-compliant method that comes with the Nexus 6P/5X. So yeah, this all sucks.

It charges fast enough for me, with the supplied cable. Sure, faster charging COULD be better. But I also think of, what happens to a battery when it’s quickly charged. Heat, lots of heat. Diminished life. Poor performance.
If I charge my 6P for an hour, it’s charged up long enough for me. So I REALLY need a full charge on my phone in 30 seconds?
