I am thinking on getting one for my car to augment the lack of a “Talk” button on my steering wheel and am not sure if it is possible or how hard it is to connect.

Mine, for one, doesn’t work.Adam Outler – 2016-04-19 19:41:37-0400My push to talk button works with the maestro. That’s why I have it. Check the schematics for your car, apparently if you have a resistive call/hangup button it won’t work. Keith I Myers – 2016-04-19 19:45:45-0400+Adam Outler based on their website, it looks like my Explorer is supported and I also know my stereo unit also supports it.Siva G – 2016-04-20 00:06:19-0400+Keith I Myers What a timing! I’m looking for the same and got it confirmed that this will work for my 2008 car. Are you planning to install this yourself? Adam Outler – 2016-04-20 00:09:34-0400I’m considering reworking the button assembly internals and running separate wires to the maestro. Not the most elegant, and I don’t know if I really need it. The buttons are onscreen.Keith I Myers – 2016-04-20 07:11:15-0400+Siva G no, I would get it done professionally. I would be the first to admit that I know very little about cars so I would not chance it. Adam Outler – 2016-04-20 08:27:33-0400It’s not difficult. Just a few wires. The installation book is thin and
the update tool takes some minor fiddling to learn. I know because I
tried everything to get my buttons working, in vein.
The most difficult part is your car itself.Siva G – 2016-04-20 08:58:07-0400+Adam Outler I have Pioneer 4200Nex installed on my car. I have Steering wheel controls but not as exhaustive options as provided by Maestro. Also Maestro can send flashy nice OBD car gauges to my Pioneer. Steering wheel has a Mode button which I want to double purpose to invoke Google Voice search if I can. I was quoted more than $200 for Maestro product and installation. Wondering if thats all worth it.Keith I Myers – 2016-04-20 09:24:04-0400+Siva G – I am in the same boat but I use the Kenwood ddx9702s
