The HD Radio is nice but I stream most of my music on Google Play. This unit does have a DVD player built in which will likely never be used though. Keith I Myers – 2016-02-01 12:57:55-0500+john edwards ouch… Why would they have done something so stupid. If your radio dies, you turn a relatively inexpensive repair into a costly oneJoseph Cappellino – 2016-02-01 13:11:31-0500I had assumed it was the Pioneer with nav for the price.  I didn’t realize Kenwood had released one.Terry Hutchinson – 2016-02-01 15:55:11-0500+john edwards I went to some effort in 2014 to NOT get the Hyundai nav system.  I knew it would be a useless money sink.  I didn’t know they had reneged on the promise to do Android Auto.

But Android Auto is really pretty horrible.  If I were to do it I’d have to beg +Adam Outler for hacks.  Thus far I am happy with my Nexus 6 and a QI charging cradle.  (6P was pretty much crap before they left out QI charging.  That made the choice a no brainer).Keith I Myers – 2016-02-01 15:56:39-0500+Terry Hutchinson I have seen +Adam Outler’s install and it is pretty sweetAdam Outler – 2016-02-01 16:25:45-0500I haven’t had any experience with Kenwood. Any idea what SoC it runs?

I use my head unit every day for NPR and Google Play Music. I ditched XM due to the options provided by Android Auto. Adam Outler – 2016-02-01 16:28:29-0500+Terry Hutchinson what are you talking about? They never promised Android Auto for 2014 vehicles. I have a 2014 Veloster and all I got was the removal of the fuel milage game… On the day I got my first reward point. As far as I know they offer AA on select 2015 and up models. Terry Hutchinson – 2016-02-01 17:39:46-0500+Adam Outler yes in 2014 there was no mention. But when I saw “yet another OEM nav system” I said Oh Hell No!

But they did announced Android auto would be retrofitted to all 2015s with their crappy head. John is saying they didn’t even do that.

I really would like to do a setup like yours. But it hasn’t happened yet. I prefer to say it is cost avoidance. That sounds so much more flattering than extreme laziness.Adam Outler – 2016-02-01 18:08:12-0500I paid for the OEM nav on Veloster and I used my phone until AA came out.
