Keith I Myers – 2015-12-17 16:37:02-0500 – Updated: 2015-12-17 17:53:37-0500I have a few complaints about the #PixelC that are starting to get a bit annoying. These issues are something you would expect with a cheap Wal-Mart Tablet but not a $600 tablet, Fortunately most of these will likely be fixed in a future OTA as many of these issues seem to be software related.
-The tablet can become sluggish at times – Actions such as pulling down on the notification shade can take 2-6 seconds to render.
-Android was not designed to work with a keyboard so Keyboard Shortcuts were never a priority, they are now. A few are there (alt+tab for example)
-There are times that the touchscreen can become (mostly) unresponsive, a problem that can be resolved with a quick reboot (of course, Google neglected to put a reboot option in the power menu, it needs one)
-Several applications force portrait mode, even docked into the keyboard which is annoying, I wish this could be forced at the OS level if the App developers dont care to add tablet support.
-There are times that the On Screen Keyboard will fail to come up when not docked.
-At times, the USB port has problems detecting devices (again, fixed with a reboot)
The only Hardware complaint I have is minor, I really wish the Pixel team would offer a backlit keyboard option; I do understand this would reduce batter life but it is a sacrifice that I dont mind seeing. I don’t like half baked. Google needs to do a better job.Ben Thornsberry – 2015-12-17 16:40:00-0500I just ordered mine and it will be here today. I was talking to +Marty Ballard about the keyboard shortcuts yesterday and he directed me to this site with a list of all of them:

+Roberto Mezquia Jr – Not sure if that is the issue as the Nvidia Shield is fine. I think it may be related to the storage modulesRoberto Mezquia Jr – 2015-12-17 17:18:16-0500+Keith I Myers I’ve never used one of those but I wouldn’t imagine it being much better than the N9 or Pixel C…
Don’t get me wrong, my N9 works great now… I realized that the second user I had on there was seriously impacting performance… After I removed that user, it works mostly fine… Francisco Franco – 2015-12-18 00:02:14-0500+Roberto Mezquia Jr these are straight up reference ARM cores, not NVIDIA. The only thing from NVIDIA is the GPU architecture. The Nexus 9 uses Denver cores, which are custom cores.Roberto Mezquia Jr – 2015-12-18 07:21:46-0500+Francisco Franco Google translate isn’t working on your post… I’ll just take your word for it 😅😅😅😂😂
