The last screen protector I used (on my HTC EVO (WiMax) if that dates me was crap, as were most of the first gen ones.

I just got it in the mail about 15 minutes ago and installed. So far, so good. It fits incredibly well considering that it was made for a tablet that has only been on the market for a week. The installation was very easy and it took less then 5 minutes. The box came with everything I needed to install it except for a credit card to smooth it over. The screen protector did come with a rear protector as well but I did not install it as I like the metal feel.

The Screen Protector cost me $15.00 + Shipping on Amazon. I ordered it last week (on the 10th) and it came today.

Sorry for the glare, the lights at my office are strong. I have the Nexus 9 including folio keyboard. When dust is on the keyboard (especially the frame which has direct contact to the screen when closed) it scratches the screen. So take care when closing it to have a clean screen and keyboard. Well, I think dirt or grease from fingers will not hurt, but small sand or whatever is not good. Michael Crosby – 2015-12-16 17:28:37-0500I’ve ordered the same Full-body skin’ I went with the brushed stainless steel skin along with HD screen protector!Keith I Myers – 2015-12-16 17:51:30-0500+Moder EightyOne – I want to see if +dbrand comes up with a carbon fiber skinGert Scholten – 2015-12-16 18:29:47-0500Soo… It’s a bunch of stickers?Keith I Myers – 2015-12-16 18:31:01-0500+Gert Scholten – That is a bit of an over simplification but yes, it is a bunch of crystal clear stickers cut out for the Pixel CMichael Crosby – 2015-12-16 18:34:49-0500+Keith I Myers I looked on their website and i didnt see anything for the Pixel C’ probably because its fairly new. They should have them for purchase soon..Keith I Myers – 2015-12-16 18:37:49-0500+Moder EightyOne – I just pinged them on Twitter a few minutes agoGert Scholten – 2015-12-16 18:38:59-0500Sorry for the snarkiness.

I could understand a screen protector, I guess, but the need for then has diminished incredibly as screens have gotten harder over the years… I wouldn’t know what to do with it to scratch it without being careless…

The thing that I really don’t get is the back and sides protections (knowledge form product photos); surely they would prevent damage, but why bother attempting to keep something pristine that is as soft as aluminium? It will get wear and tear damage anyways, but to delay that by using a plastic cover? I don’t get it.Michael Crosby – 2015-12-16 18:39:56-0500 – Updated: 2015-12-16 19:08:23-0500+Keith I Myers Did they have a cutout for the pixel battery strip indicator on the backside of the skin? I ordered the brushed metal skin and was wondering if they cutout for pixel battery notification stripKeith I Myers – 2015-12-16 18:43:48-0500+Moder EightyOne – Yes, it has all of the cutouts for the light bar

+Gert Scholten – I did not apply the back ones, the clear plastic made little sense to me. Michael Crosby – 2015-12-16 19:09:08-0500Sweet! Cant wait for mine to get delivered
Elmar Hoenig – 2015-12-17 14:36:08-0500 – Updated: 2015-12-17 14:36:41-0500Please make some pictures – I am interested what it looks like +Moder EightyOneNathan Handler – 2015-12-17 21:53:52-0500I don’t know the hardness of the Pixel C screen, but I’d wager it’s not as hard as quartz (sand, Moh hardness of 8H). If it was, the screen would be prone to cracking (Gorilla Glass is 6-6.5H, sapphire is 9H and this screen isn’t sapphire).

Tempered glass screen protectors can get away with hardness high enough (up to 9H) to resist sand scratches because they’re sacrificial and easy to replace if cracked.

The way the Pixel C sandwiches the keyboard and screen together is just begging for an intervening grain of sand to come and ruin the party.
