As Promised, Here is the solution I used for a pilot we were running to simplify end user desktops. While this machine is not a power house, it works well for most things but I would not try gaming on this machine. It will also drive Dual 1080p displays with no extra hardware. It has 2 HDMI ports that can easily be converted to DVI using an inexpensive adapter.

The prices will vary based on vendor. We sourced our parts at Wholesale via one of our hardware vendors.

Intel NUC DCCP847DYE – $1430$150
32 GB mSATA – $17$25
-4GB DDR3 SODIMM – $15.00 – $20.00

Optionally, you can add WiFi/Bluetooth for about $15, we omitted this as we do not permit WiFi use internally.

Aside from that, you just need a Windows License, The cost will vary if you have MS Volume Licensing available. You can also stick a Linux distro and use Office365 if you want to avoid the OS costs. Windows 8.1, 10 and Ubuntu all run great on it. Shared with: Rod Castor, Keith I Myers, Rod CastorRod Castor – 2015-11-02 21:04:40-0500Thanks +Keith I Myers! Very helpful information.
