+Eli Gukovsky – Honestly not too sure if this would make a great TV box. There are better (and less expensive) options that deliver a better large screen layout. With all of that said, I am not exactly sure what the purpose of this machine is exactly.Rod Castor – 2015-11-01 21:26:19-0500+Keith I Myers I’m interested in your feedback. We have a scenario where we need PCs at numerous sales offices that primarily access the Internet for web browsing, run MS Office, and attach to Dropbox. This could be a cheap solution for us. We do need dual monitors though.Keith I Myers – 2015-11-01 21:47:32-0500+Rod Castor – I am using a Display Link universal docking station for dual displays but this is causing some increased load. The biggest issue with my setup is that the Display Link dock costs as much as the computer I am using.

In all honesty, depending on your budget, I may have some other options such as the Intel NUCRod Castor – 2015-11-01 21:55:29-0500+Keith I Myers I am open to ideas. Our sales department has traditionally purchased full desktops. I think they are wasting money. Of course, they wouldn’t know there are other options. So, I’ve started researching options. I welcome any suggestions you have. No set budget, but trying to spend less than a typical desktop system.Keith I Myers – 2015-11-01 22:02:37-0500+Rod Castor I have been working on a similar solution at work. I came up with a sub $180 option that supports dual displays (excluding the Windows license). I will shoot you the specs when I get into the office tomorrow.Rod Castor – 2015-11-01 22:17:57-0500+Keith I Myers Thank you.Adam Outler – 2015-11-02 14:29:09-0500I think you’re insane, and you have an odd choice of computers as well.Keith I Myers – 2015-11-02 14:31:44-0500+Adam Outler – Was your judgement on me being insane made before or after I announced this challenge? I do want my choices to be odd. I would have gone with some very old computers but I needed a modern web browser and had a few other basic requirements so I can at least be semi-productive. Adam Outler – 2015-11-02 14:35:04-0500Well, you did port Ubuntu’s GUI to a web browser. 😉Keith I Myers – 2015-11-02 14:36:08-0500+Adam Outler – Point taken, I need to update it to 15.10. Been busy
