For the rest, disable sync 😀 nothing syncs on my shield tablet and it lasts for days.Keith I Myers – 2015-10-26 00:50:53-0400+Joseph Hindy – I need sync on my tablet as I also use it for work purposes. My tablet is (mostly) stock, I flashed the official “WorldWide” firmware to remove the AT&T bloat and restore the stock Android Tethering system. Joseph Hindy – 2015-10-26 00:51:53-0400+Keith I Myers I understand that but damn man, even when I’m using mine, it doesn’t drop 30% in one hour unless I’m gaming hard on it. Keith I Myers – 2015-10-26 00:54:15-0400+Joseph Hindy I would understand if I were gaming. Do you happen to have a SIM card in yours?Joseph Hindy – 2015-10-26 02:02:54-0400No I never used a Sim card. All WiFi. Philip Sieder – 2015-10-30 10:55:51-0400+Keith I Myers i have SIM card in mine, but because having terrible battery live having the mobile radio enabled, I use flight mode 90% of the time. So I get good and especially predictable battery live.Keith I Myers – 2015-10-30 10:57:16-0400Thanks +Philip Sieder , it is good to know. I wish I could keep mine in Flight Mode but unfortunately it is critical for me to have mobile data for work purposes. Philip Sieder – 2015-10-30 10:59:44-0400+Keith I Myers OK, being at places with WiFi makes the mobile radio not necessary for me most of the time. The radio on this device is a bad joke anyway. ( At least compared to my Nexus 5…)Keith I Myers – 2015-10-30 11:01:23-0400+Philip Sieder – Agreed, Nvidia used a pretty bad radio in this thing, there are places I get Edge while my Nexus 6 is still on LTEPhilip Sieder – 2015-10-30 11:07:26-0400+Keith I Myers
Exactly, and it’s slow as well:
Being on the train I have full LTE on the phone and EDGE on the Shield.
And WiFi: In our bathroom I never ever had any problem with my Nexus 5, with the Shield I get some transfer eventually, if I hold it the right way. (Is “some” right or is it any(no native speaker))
Oterwise this is such an incredibly good tablet…
