– I need 802.11 b/g/n support
– I need it to have at least 1 ethernet extender port
– I need it to have as much gain as possible
– I need it to be as low profile as possibleShared with: Public, Keith I Myers, Morgan Tuohy+1’d by: Killa Gaming, Pkmmte XeleonJosé Gasteazoro – 2015-01-12 10:30:28-0500/subMorgan Tuohy – 2015-01-12 12:04:30-0500I’ve been using an amped wireless rec10. Not with me so I’m not sure about the gain, but it does have bgn and one Ethernet port. It is also pretty small. I think it was $70 and claims to have 6000 square feet of range.
They also have some stand alone ones (mine plugs into the wall, no cords) with 5 Ethernet ports and similar range. Quick easy setup too. Morgan Tuohy – 2015-01-15 11:19:35-0500+Keith I Myers awesome. Mine has been having some issues, but I think that’s a problem with the router I have… No matter what company makes an extender, it has minor connectivity issues a few times a day.
Good to know everything is going well! Keith I Myers – 2015-01-15 11:24:46-0500+Morgan Tuohy – I am fine with taking a small performance hit with an extender (it should be expected). I was using a Netgear one and even connecting to the Web Interface of the extender took almost a minute over WiFi and 10 seconds over ethernet. Loading YouTube was 2-3 MINUTES and starting a video was impossible. Morgan Tuohy – 2015-01-15 11:26:18-0500+Keith I Myers ouch! That’s no good.
Good to know that everything is working better this time around.
