Keith I Myers – 2014-11-21 16:43:27-0500 – Updated: 2014-11-21 16:43:27-0500AT&T is now dead to me… They had the balls to shit on a hallowed Nexus device and still pass it off as a Nexus. Nexus phones should never be sim-locked, carrier logos or any other carrier customizations. This went out the door with the Galaxy Nexus lines (although the carrier specific versions of the Galaxy Nexus were separate model numbers)

T-Mobile nexus 6 will be a pure NexusT-Mobile – 2014-11-21 21:07:21-0500Hi, +Andy Boyle & +Court Mejias! We have not heard any info surrounding T-Mobile adding built in applications to the Nexus 6 outside of WiFi calling via an update in early 2015. -MisttyKeith I Myers – 2014-11-21 21:15:21-0500+Andy Boyle – +T-Mobile is correct, they don’t modify the ROM in any way on their Nexus 6 phones. A new feature of Lollipop allows the phone to pull down/install carrier specific applications on initial setup. In the case of +T-Mobile this is simply their “My Account” application which is useful for paying your bill and checking usage. It can however be uninstalled quite easily from the Android Applications Menu.
Note – this will happen with play store purchased phones as well and simply depends on the SIM card used for setup (hint – do the initial setup on WiFi without inserting your SIM card to avoid this).
