That’s fine. I’m not a sheep, that’s why I buy the best tool for what I do. Hence, why I’ve own android devices since ’08. It the iPhone is able to do what Android does and better, I’ll get an iPhone. Since it does not, I don’t get one. Simple.
And a few years from now if there is a windows laptop that does more than my mbp, and some how windows 9 is magically stable and it looks better. Then i’ll get that. it’s simple. Hell even if chrome os finds a way to run adobe creative suite perfectly (which wont happen anytime soon) Then i’ll be there. No fanboy ish here. Does adobe creative suite run on Linux? I shoot documentaries and also I do animation videos, with track motion, stabilization, audio background footprint mapping, and all sorts of stuff that you need professional software to do. Then I got macros on the keyboard for cut-at-mouse, remove-space-at-mouse, and delete-clip-at-mouse. It entirely changed the UI. I’m not sue how to track motion though. Our IT guy walked in to work, and him being a windows guy who also took care of our linux machines, I asked him why he carried a macbook, “because I need a stable machine that let’s me get work done, and the track pad also helps me getting work done”
He is right, they make fine machines to get work done (not upgradable, expensive machines), without the hassles of windows.
Linux is great, but there is still stuff you won’t get done in Linux as easy as on other operating systems.
