Keith I Myers – 2014-09-08 12:18:27-0400 – Updated: 2014-09-08 12:18:27-0400I am shocked that people are mesmerized by the mystery of what Apple will announce tomorrow. In truth, we actually know A LOT about what will be announced. Here is the breakdown of what we know for sure:
[ ] It will be overpriced
[ ] It will be douchey
[ ] Apple iSheep will flock to the Apple stores to wait in line for a week or 2 to buy it.
[ ] It will run on older technology marketed as the “latest”
[ ] It will not use previously established standards (MicroUSB/NFC/Mirracast/Qi/WiFi Direct/MHL/SlimPort/etc)
[ ] Apple will “Invent” technology that has existed on Android for YEARS and claim it as their own.
So… no need to be surprised or glued to your computer to watch to the announcements. You can have your entire day back… your welcomed.Shared with: Public+1’d by: Philip Wingfield, Michael Smith, Harold Bishop, Siva G, Garrett Barker, Chris Pugrud, Ana Medina, Michael Moyer, Peter HoldenReshared by: Keith I MyersChris Harrington – 2014-09-08 12:21:29-0400Personally, I really hope it has NFC so it can help push along that technology but I don’t think the new card readers at Target or Walmart have NFC, just the new chipped carded reader.Master Decker – 2014-09-08 13:22:03-0400Crap, crap and even more expensive crap.Harold Bishop – 2014-09-08 16:35:51-0400And they will probably file suit against Google for shamelessly developing technology before they had a chance to think of it.Matthew Kuraja – 2014-09-08 18:20:13-0400 – Updated: 2014-09-08 18:20:47-0400I prefer Android and my wife prefers iPhone. This seems to be a very strong trend between the genders, I’ve noticed.
Still, I tip my hat to Apple. I haven’t forgotten how much better things were getting since they rolled out their 1st MP3 player. Then the phone and tablet. These things enticed us to try their desktops/laptops instead of the next Windows product. All these non-Microsoft were so much better. I still thank my employer for assigning me a Mac to write software with instead of a PC.
Now, Jobs is gone and I suspect , like a plane out of gas, Apple has been on a slow, graceful descent. I think they’ll become the next lame Microsoft in due time. But still, I recognize and admit life’s been better lately because of this company.
