Keith I Myers – 2014-09-06 01:57:53-0400 – Updated: 2014-09-06 01:57:53-0400Hey +T-Mobile, great job with the updated T-Mobile My Account application. It was driving me crazy that I could not easily refresh my usage stats whenever I wanted to.
It still needs some visual updates to make it feel more like an Android Application rather than a glamorized Web browser.

Thanks for the great feedback! We’re 🙂 to see that you are enjoying the updates! We’re definitely always looking at way to make experiences better! -DeniseAlan Birstok – 2014-09-06 10:09:49-0400Keith I read an article about a a ban hammer on heavy usage folks on the unlimited plan. Have you heard anything about that? (not sure if it was a legit source) Ana Medina – 2014-09-06 12:14:49-0400+Alan Birstok I haven’t. Heavy tmobile user here Keith I Myers – 2014-09-06 12:18:04-0400+Alan Birstok – I know they have been throttling those users who are abusing the system by using software that abuses their network. This includes:
-P2P Traffic
-Torrents
-Running a “remote surveillance camera” on their network
-Using their network to host websites
With this said, it is not likely that a normal heavy user will get into any trouble as long as they are not doing any of the above. From what I have heard, this new policy will only impact a few hundred customers.
Although I may be a heavy user, I can honestly say that I do not do anything on the list above on a mobile network. I do stream a lot of podcasts, Google Play Music and YouTube content. I really do not tether all too often.Keith I Myers – 2014-09-06 12:18:33-0400+T-Mobile – Correct me if I am wrong in my post aboveT-Mobile – 2014-09-06 12:24:26-0400A very small number of our customers are misusing their Simple Choice Unlimited data service per our terms and conditions by bypassing the default tethering feature or engaging in peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing. We will be contacting customers engaging this type of usage to ensure we can continue offering affordable unlimited internet for everyone. -JannaDavid Wille – 2014-09-06 12:31:19-0400I can say though about T-Mo:
– great service/reception everywhere,
-near-constant solid LTE connection. high rate up/down speeds held stable all day, (cough never throttled cough),
-some of the best customer support/service with any questions or concerns
I can go through on average 4-6 GB quite normally each day so my usage has always been a problem for me. Tying me to wifi just about everywhere. But no more here with T-Mo! I have 0 hiccups, no problems whatsoever. Just a great constantly reliable unlimited LTE connection. Its perfect.
🙂T-Mobile – 2014-09-06 12:39:20-0400Awww, thanks for the love and support! Let us know if you ever have questions or concerns; we’re always here for you! -JannaBrett Werner – 2014-09-06 13:39:31-0400+T-Mobile Hi, is update OTA?Keith I Myers – 2014-09-06 18:17:18-0400+Brett Werner – It’s not an OTA, it’s the T-Mobile My Account application in the Google Play Store. Alan Birstok – 2014-09-07 10:42:07-0400Understood. I don’t feel any differently about tmobile. I’ve been with T-Mobile for 12 years and will keep on doing so. I only recently had to switch my old school voicestream sim card. T-Mobile service and the company just keeps getting better everyday. While I’m at it, I love the international data features now offered. It’s been useful for work and one family trip overseas.Â
