It has been around 4-5 months since most of the explorers were invited up to Google to pick up their Glass units. Now the question for all of you is this: Have you accomplished your ifihadglass promise?So... I had 2 submissions
1) Create a proactive Hurricane Alert System – Done (Pending Google Approval)
2) Create a Server Monitoring Solution – TBD (Glass needs a built in QR Code reader)Master Decker – 2013-10-28 11:27:11-0400Slacker. Lol E John Feig – 2013-10-28 12:16:24-0400+Keith I Myers, can’t you hack the QR reader code from zxing in there?

Also, I’m working on a few different projects for Glass. I’ve got a prototype of TiKL (walkie-talkie for Android and iOS) working, got to get a prototype of Talkray (unified messaging, group calling) going.

I’m feeling pretty good about my progress.Norton Lam – 2013-10-28 12:32:28-0400I didn’t get Glass from the #ifihadglass campaign, but I did post Six Things I Would Do as a Glass Explorer at +Mobilevangelist (and added two more later) and got the Glass team’s attention to get one.

1) Inspire the next generation – Almost done, they are working on a solution involving Glass
2) Create a 30 Days with Glass blog series – In progress
3) Go fishing – Done
4) Attend two weddings, but not a funeral – expired before I got Glass
5) Capture precious moments – nothing too precious yet
6) Change my future – In progress
7) Meet new and interesting people – Haven’t had the opportunity yet
8) Become a Glass evangelist – In progressWendy Stubbs – 2013-10-28 12:47:02-0400I am working on fulfilling my promise to use it in education. But, I am not completely satisfied yet.Patrick Jackson – 2013-10-28 12:52:03-0400my idea was to get fire department dispatches and location information on Glass.  Actually had the first part (getting notification of incident with address and map) done prior to getting my Glass.  Still working on pulling more location info and making available on Glass.Jen Vargas – 2013-10-28 12:54:55-0400(Your app is great! I’d love it for my phone!) 100% agree about the built in QR code reader!! Would be a GREAT help!

I knew going in what I wanted to use +Google Glass for but I didn’t have a name for it. Now #Glass4good is going full steam ahead! Completed tasks so far;
1) Using Glass in the first +American Cancer Society event in the nation to help advocate for breast cancer research.
2) Our show +Indie Cinema Showcase has implemented Glass as our Behind the Scenes POV!

Ongoing tasks include;
1) Exploring the possibilities of Glass with local causes (non-profits, FL film industry, city/state officials, etc) and advocating for all at live events.
2) Evolving my role with City of Orlando’s tech thinktank to help bring more things to Orlando. (Meeting tomorrow with a huge company – wish us luck!!)
3) Working with award winning agency +REMIXED to help fully realize #Glass4good online.
4) Will hold my annual +Relay For Life of Hunter’s Creek Social Media Lap #throughglass (Nov 9th, 2:30pm EST)Russell Nelson – 2013-10-28 16:45:38-0400Still working on it. It is functional but needs polishing.Chad Burton – 2013-10-28 17:01:30-0400You inspired me to revisit my #ifihadglass entry. http://outkastz.com 🙂Bryan Foster – 2013-10-28 17:15:52-0400+Keith I Myers – I have had an awesome time with Glass and plan to endeavor into developing an app or two, but sadly I have not been able to commit to my original #ifihadglass entry. It involved a total immersion of Blogging solely from the device, and I have found that to be impossible so far. The Blogger glassware can post a photo with a caption, but it is not possible to post full textual paragraphs and formatting from Glass for blog posts. I am working on a concept to address this issue now, but it is still a work in progress.Hannah Mayle – 2013-10-28 18:22:00-0400Yes I have! www.onlineartteacher.net
