The alerts will happen no more then 3 times a day and you should not see any if there are no storms in your zone.Keith I Myers – 2013-10-07 20:06:43-0400+Chris Jenkins – I see the first alert just went out about a minute ago. Based on the event logs, you should have only seen one storm (along with the script for one storm). 

The system is currently tracking a total of 3 storms

For me, a useful zone would be “Gulf of Mexico & Caribbean”. That would be a feature request for me in the future. Keith I Myers – 2013-10-07 20:16:29-0400I will see what I can do. Tampa is sort of a wild card due to the location. Zone 2 will take care of the Gulf, Atlantic and  Caribbean.  The challenge is it is normal for storms off of Africa to impact the east coast of the US
