Keith I Myers – 2013-09-16 20:46:46-0400 – Updated: 2013-09-16 20:50:05-0400We all know that Android 4.4 will be known as KitKat but we honestly have no clue on what features will be included in KitKat when it is released to the public.
Its time to let your imaginations run wild for a few minutes and answer the following question ; What killer feature would you love to see in a future release of Android? And Why?
(Note : 4.4 is likely a small incremental upgrade but don’t take that into consideration)Shared with: Public, Ivan Yudhi+1’d by: Karen Herman, Corey Miecielica, Allen A, Bobby Malone, Samantha Myers, Bruce BurkeKeith I Myers – 2013-09-16 20:49:42-0400My Answer : I would love to see Android’s DisplayFlinger gain compatibility with X11.
Why : This would allow GTK/KDE bindings to be installed on Android and give it the ability to run Linux Desktop applications such as LibreOffice. This could allow large screen tablets to behave like laptops when docked.Ivan Yudhi – 2013-09-16 20:57:03-0400Not sure if you’ve seen the rumors, but it seems like quite an incremental update
