I have a confession to make and it may not be easy for everyone to accept. Here it goes… I love Gadgets! Now that we have gotten this out of the way, 2015 is proving to be a very exciting year for technology and I already have compiled a list of the things I wish to add to my current collection.
An LTE Nexus 9 or a LTE Nvidia Shield
I am not afraid to admit that I carry around a tablet with its own mobile data connection with me most of the time. It is great for use as a GPS but serves so many other purposes when I travel as hotels are not known to have the best WiFi. Tethering my mobile phone is an option at times but it tends to take a toll on the battery. I currently have the aging 2013 Nexus 7 LTE as well as the WiFi only Nexus 9. I am deciding weather I should sell both tablets and go with the LTE Nexus 9 or simply sell the Nexus 7 and add an Nvidia Shield LTE Tablet to my collection.
Android Auto
One place that rarely sees any new technology additions is my car, which has absolutely no aftermarket modifications at this time. I do have a bluetooth ODB2 dongle plugged into my car’s diagnostic port for use with the Dash Application but aside from that, my car is pretty naked. I want to change that this year by installing an Android Auto Car Stereo Unit once they are released a bit later in the spring. I have been keeping my eye on several of the units demonstrated at CES however I have not made up my mind on which one I will be purchasing as of yet.
Windows Laptop
I currently own a ASUS T300 LA and it suits my needs very nicely except for the fact that I was a bit cheap and only got a unit with 128 GB of Storage and 4 GB of RAM. I am looking into purchasing the ASUS ZenBook UX301LA with 256 GB of Storage and 8 GB of RAM. It is not an urgent need, just a want.
